How to Measure Your Necklace Length
Choosing the right necklace length can make a big difference. A necklace that sits exactly where you want it feels comfortable and complements your outfit beautifully.
1. Before you measure
Before measuring, think about how you like to wear your necklaces. Do you prefer a necklace that sits close to your neck, or do you like a little extra length?
Keep in mind that necklace lengths can look different on everyone. Your neck size, body shape, and the size of a pendant can all affect how a necklace sits.
A flexible measuring tape is the easiest option, but a piece of string works just as well.
2. Measuring an existing necklace
If you already own a necklace with the perfect length, simply lay it flat on a table.
Measure from one end of the clasp to the other. This measurement is the total necklace length and can be used when ordering a new piece.
3. Measuring around your neck
Another option is to place a measuring tape around your neck and adjust it until it reaches your preferred length.
Take your time and check the measurement in a mirror. This helps you visualise where the necklace will sit when worn.
4. Choosing the right length
Some people love a short choker style, while others prefer a longer necklace that can be layered with other pieces.
There is no right or wrong choice. The perfect necklace length is simply the one that feels most comfortable and suits your personal style.
